Experts themselves admit that there are no adequate studies on the long-term risks of these powerful and commonly used fertility drugs, and yet the casualties they cause aren't hard to find.

I signed up for egg donation about 12 years ago. They were actually pretty clear about the effects of the drugs they had to give (by injection on a daily basis) and that they didn't now the long term side effects.

My primary physician advised me against going through with it because she was worried about my health. Too bad, I really wanted to give some eggs to some woman who needed them. I'm not going to have any children, so I figured the eggs were just going to waste. But the process IS very hard on the donor. And then there;s the big giant needles they use to extract the eggs.....owie!
