"Since it is… a long-recognized and documented scientific fact that almost all so-called 'contraceptives' routinely fail, is there any wonder that elective abortions are socially required in order to take care of such 'accidents'?"

The proverbial "they" do not even know what the constitution is. In fact "they" do not know anything. They do not know that Planned Parenthood is a clinic, and serve women and couples in more ways than just abortions, the key word is "Planned".

Contraceptives is another thing the morally stupid in this country look at as bad. Key word "planned". Don't want to have sex out of wedlock then don't. The proverbial "they" should be forced to remain MARRIED. Since "they" have the highest divorce rate. Test drive people before you commit.

Some in this group of "they" believe that masturbation is a sin. How tied up in knots are these people? What's their pleasure, making everyone as miserable as they are?

I think it is time to start picketing "them".

#1, was just the proverbial and fed up "me" talking. What people do that doesn't effect me, I have no qualms with and shouldn't, it is none of my business.

Used correctly contraceptives are safe and effective. If you will fall for a lie like this, what other lies have you fallen for?

Word. The key is to use them correctly. No medication will work properly if you don't take it as prescribed. Contraception is no exception.

this is clearly an opinion piece. The pill and condoms both have a higher than 95% success and safety rate when used properly. Some of the newer methods are even more effective.

Absolutely "opinion" and not "event". Wrong category.

Even as an opinion piece, the article linked is weak. No citations whatsoever.

I'd bet that using contraceptives are waaaaaay more safer and reliable than NOT using contraceptives.

And this is in comparison to doing what? Rhythm Method? Abstinence-Only Programs?

There is a word that describes women who rely on Abstinence or the Rhythm Method. Mother

Yes there would be some abortions but far fewer than there would be without contraception. If pro lifers were really concerned about abortion they would push contraception and an alternative, Don't hold your breath. They are really anti sex and see pregnancy as a punishment for sin. Avoidance of Punishmentis their real objection to abortion. Most don't give a damn about fetuses or the well being of babies. It is all about punishment and avoiding the warth of their vengeful petty version of God..

Their methods bother me... Some of them think it is ok to kill and/or maim health care providers, and that is a shame.

If they are so het up on the sanctity of life, what about the sanctitiy of the lives of the people that are helping others?

      sigh...
